For machine shops

Another technologist in the shop. Available for every drawing.

The engine builds a manufacturing process on the shop’s machines, tools and rates — setups, operation order, tools and cutting conditions — and stays with the work from the request for quote to the floor.

Where the engine works for you — all along the job

Four moments in a shop technologist’s day-to-day. Beside each one — what the engine puts out, on a real demo part.

  1. 1Request for quote

A price that stands on a process

A drawing and a model go in — and in minutes a full process comes out: stock, machine, setups, operations and tools, and from it setup and cycle times on the shop’s machines and rates. What drives the cost is flagged before the quote goes out, and the more the technologist corrects, the closer the engine fits the shop.

  2. 2Work already running

    Improve what you already make

Run a part that is already in production and see the order of operations and the tool in each: which operation the machine holds back, where the cycle can be shorter or a setup merged, and how to bring vibration and tool wear down — the tool, the coating and the cutting conditions that suit the material.

  3. 3Once the order is in

Tools and stock — before you start

One list of what to prepare: the raw material to size, and the tools by kind — from what is already on the shelf and on the machines, and what needs ordering. So it is ordered once and right, and no tool turns out missing halfway.

  4. 4Subcontracting and quality

    Subcontracting — both ways

An operation the shop has no machine for — grinding, heat treatment, 5-axis — goes through the manufacturer network to a shop it suits, and the customer stays yours. And the other way round: the shop itself receives requests from the network that suit its machines and experience.
